Bag Making - Full Day Workshop
Bag Making - Full Day Workshop
In this workshop you will learn how to sew a tote bag. If you have previously made a simple tote bag, in this session we expand on that simple bag to include zipped and patch pockets. You can choose to make the tote bag in oilcloth which some people are nervous of, but I will be introducing you to the “walking foot” which makes sewing with oilcloth simple. (You don’t need to have a walking foot) I will have them available for use.
You will need
1/2m of a full fabric width of good quality oilcloth - please check if you need recommendations for quality brands.
3/4m plain calico fabric or patterned cotton of your choice
7” Zip
Calico and zip available to buy on the day at a cost of £5
This will be a full day workshop, please bring lunch with you, there will be cakes and biscuits along with tea and coffee. I will aim to finish the workshop at 3.30pm but can arrange additional time if required.
I do have a limited number of sewing machines available for people to use, please let me know when booking if you need to borrow one.
