In this workshop we will be making a fabric project bag. These drawstring bags are perfect for knitting, sewing or embroidery projects on the go, or can be used a a toiletries bag if you. line them with a waterproof fabric.

This is a really nice project for an improving beginner used to basic sewing and using a sewing machine.

The end result is a beautiful quality product - fully lined with internal pockets and a stylish but simple drawstring closure.

Included in the cost of this workshop is the calico lining material, interfacing, tea or coffee and delicious homemade cake.

You will need to bring:

• Sewing machine

• Fabric for the outside - 2 fabrics that compliment each other in either a quilting or curtain weight. I suggest 1/2 meter of each.

• Matching thread

• 1 meter of 20mm Ribbon or a 6mm cord for the drawstring.

The workshop is anticipated to take 3 hours but this depends on how you all get on! If you have been to one of my workshops before you will know we keep going until we have all finished!

I do have a limited number of sewing machines available for people to use, please let me know when booking if you need to borrow one.
