Drum Lampshade Workshops

Join us for a fun packed morning of lampshade making. By making your own lampshade you will have the freedom to chose a fabric to complement you interior. Suitable for complete beginners; No sewing required.

What does the course cover?

You will be producing high quality, professionally finished lampshade from start to finish that you will take home with you, along with the knowledge and ability to make your own lampshades at home. You can choose to make a 20cm or 30cm shade which will suit a table lamp or a pendant ceiling light.

What’s included?

We provide all the necessary tools, equipment and skills that you will need, so all you need to bring is your own fabric and be ready to enjoy a relaxing but creative morning. Tea, coffee and biscuits will be available… crafting is thirsty work!

Fabric Requirements

You will need to bring your own fabric, that way you can ensure that it suits your decor and personal taste.

You will need 1/2 metre of fabric. We recommend a fabric made from either cotton or linen, although you can use other fabrics but printed cottons and linen work well for your first project. Please keep in mind that if you are using fabric with a large pattern then you may want to bring more than the minimum size, so you can get the best pattern for the lampshade.
